Explanatory Description about Waterproofing Material "PARATEX"
"PARATEX" is composed by main material of Synthetic polyethylene Compounds Emulsion and used for waterproofing material with superior character in its durability and also against chemical resistance, by mixing with admixtures described as follows:
"Admixtures" are consisted with Alumina Cement, Silica sand and other compounds for stabilizing. Admixtures help "PARATEX" emulsion to achieve perfect waterproofing object in climate resistance, chemical resistance etc.
Speciality of "PARATEX" waterproof coating System
Waterproofing treatment by "PARATEX" is membrane coating system applying with such materials of aqueous emulsion and several admixtures developed by Ozeki Chemical Industry Co.,Ltd.
Generally so called membrane coating system has several defects and one of them is that only one coating cannot obtain enough thickness of membrane and must do three or four times of repeated coating. Therefore its cost becomes rather expensive. The improvement of this point is effectively
realized in "PARATEX" waterproof coating system and only one coating is enough to obtain necessary thickness of membrane and also special admixing materials in its emulsion make drying time too short.
Another improvement is pointed out its unique physical mechanism of "PARATEX" emulsion. "PARATEX" emulsion has a unique character of expanding itself when its membrane absorbs moisture, which no other emulsion type waterproof material has. When the concrete coated by "PARATEX" produces cracks caused by either external shock or evaporation of moisture, "PARATEX" membrane will be also affected, but when its membrane absorbs water or rain, the crack is automatically closed by expanded membrane and water penetration is stopped. This physical mechanism is very special point of "PARATEX" waterproofing material which no other materials hold.
When the membrane expands to cover fully the cracks, leaking of water is completely stopped.
We call this system "PARATEX SELF-CLOSING WATERPROOFING TREATMENT".
